The Church of Saint Nikitas is located within the Voulismeni Cemetery and is one of the village’s most notable religious sites.
The church is linked to the memory, faith, and historical continuity of Voulismeni. A notable feature of the site is the bell tower of Saint Nikitas, a remarkable example of folk craftsmanship, attributed to the renowned Voulismeni stonemason Emmanouil Zacharias Psalidakis, also known as Psalidomanolis.
The bell tower is distinguished by its clean proportions, its neoclassical elements, and its decorative stone reliefs. The relief rosettes and archaic finials give the monument a distinctive appearance and make it stand out within the quiet setting of the cemetery.

The name of Saint Nikitas was also associated with the social life of Voulismeni. The village’s old Progressive Club was named «Saint Nikitas,» and its seal bore an image of the saint. This connection illustrates the importance of the church and the saint’s name to the collective identity of the residents.
